About London Southend International Airport Arrivals
If you want to travel to London, you can use Southend Airport as your port of entry. When you have Southend airport arrivals you are only a few miles from the city center of London, making it a good starting point for tourism. You can get to know the nearby areas of Essex and the cultural zone of the territory in general when having Southend arrivals.
There are no flights scheduled from Southend airport in the winter 2021-2022. Seasonal flights are mainly carried out. However, due to the pandemic, many flights have been canceled and the routes temporarily suspended. There are expectations that the following destinations will return soon:
- Alicante, Brest, Bucharest, Corfu, Dublin, Faro, Kristiansand, Malaga, Bergamo, Palma de Mallorca, and Reus.
Not much is known about other busy routes that were flown in 2019-2020. Certainly Amsterdam Schiphol and Dublin are still missing from the above list. It is possible that Easyjet or Wizz Air will also operate these routes again soon.
Since 1915 the air zone functioned as an airfield under the name of Royal Flying Corps in the First World War. For the following year, the aircraft installation was renamed RFC Rochford for combat centers. It wasn’t until the 1960s that the airport was liberated and established for commercial Southend flight arrivals.
London Southend Airport is operated by the Stobart group and offers flights for Easyjet and Ryanair who offer most London Southend arrivals. This airport broke a record in 2019 when it accommodated more than 2 million people on some 36 thousand commercial flights. However, by 2022 the aerial installation is expected to overcome that streak with more SEN airport arrivals.
