How to get from Santiago de Compostela Airport to Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, Pontevedra, Ourense, A Coruña and Lugo?

Every half hour a bus (Empresa Freire) runs from Santiago de Compostela Airport to “Plaza de Galicia” in the city and vice versa. The buses run every day of the week. Several stops are made, among others at bus station “Estación de Autobuses” to the north-east and train station “Estación de Ferrocarril” south of the center. The travel time from the start stop for the new terminal to the end stop (Plaza de Galicia) in the city center is 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased online via the Empresa Freire website and from the bus driver. A single journey costs € 3.00, the price for a return is € 5.10.

If your final destination is Vigo, you can transfer to the train to Vigo at Santiago de Compostela train station. The train travel time is 60 minutes (Renfe MD) to 90 minutes (Renfe Regional), the price for a single journey is € 10.00 on average. About once an hour a train leaves for Vigo, known from the fishing and car industry. Along the way a stopover is always made in Pontevedra, after 35 minutes (Renfe MD) or 55 minutes (Renfe Regional). A ticket costs around € 7.00 per person. If you want to go to Ourense, you can also opt for the bus and train combination. The Renfe high-speed trains Avant and Alvia run between Santiago de Compostela and Ourense, the journey time is just 40 minutes. Tickets are slightly more expensive and online reservations are required.
