About Muscat international airport departures

With two long runways of 3,584 (11,758 ft) and 4,000 (13,123 ft) meters, the largest aircraft can have MCT airport departures. With a newly opened terminal in 2018, Muscat International Airport is aiming for even greater growth that it has already undergone in recent years. There are already 9 million passengers with many Muscat departures every year while the total capacity is up to 48 million passengers annually. Oman Air, SalamAir and Air Arabiam are the main airlines to depart with.

The very first Muscat flight departures go back to 1973 when the airport was still called Seeb International Airport. The current name has only been used since 2008. In 2009, 4 million passengers used the airport in Oman. Since then, it has grown every year through 2019 with 15.4 million passengers. Since the corona outbreak, the growth has stopped. In 2021, the Muscat airport departures will slowly rise again.
