The airport is located between the cities of Al-Seeb and Muscat. If you travel by car yourself, there are soon signings to reach the airport. You will have to use the slip road until the flyover. From there it goes without saying with the signs. If you want to pick up or drop off a passenger from the airport, you can use the Drop-off or Pick-Up. There is a policy where you are only allowed to stand still for 10 minutes and the driver is not allowed to leave the vehicle. If you want to park longer, you can use short term parking. The Drop-off area is just in front of the terminal building and follow the signings. The same applies to the Pick-Up area. Short term parking is also possible and that costs about 3 USD per hour.

You can also continue your journey by taxi once you have arrived at the airport. There is a taxi office in the arrival hall to book a ride. The price starts at USD 6.5 and an additional USD 1.5 is added approximately every km.

Muscat airport departures are also possible with a rental car. There are offices in the terminal building, most of which are open 24/7. Major well-known car rental companies are present such as Avis, Hertz and Sixt as well as Bahwan Tourism Car Rentals Services.

Then there is also the option to travel by public transport. Buses are waiting on the ground floor for Muscat departures just in front of the terminal. You can view all times on the Mwasalat website. There are a dozen bus routes to the city. Ask at the information counter in the terminal for more info. Intercity buses are also available to other places in Oman.
