Montego Bay Sangster Airport is Jamaica’s largest airport. The airport mainly welcomes tourists. It is located in the northwest of the country where many resorts are located. For many it is only 10 minutes to get to the resort from the airport. By taxi this will cost about USD 15.
The terminal consists of 2 parts, for domestic flights and international MBJ arrivals. On the ground floor is the Montego Bay Airport arrivals hall. You can go to the baggage reclaim via the security check. From there you enter the Montego Bay arrivals lobby where there are various shops, ATM’s, car rental etc. On the ground floor is also the check-in for departures, after which you will have to go to the first floor for the gates.
After landing, the aircraft will drive to one of the available gates for disembarkation. After the gates you will be able to claim the baggage via the Jamaica airport arrivals immigration. Once your luggage is packed, you go to the MBJ arrivals hall where there are several shops, ATM, information service and rental car companies.
