Ahmedabad international airport departures

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is an airport located in the west of India. It is to the south of the city of Gandhinagar and to the north of the large city of Ahmedabad. The airport was built in the 1930s to start with domestic Ahmedabad flight departures. It even took until January 26 in 1991 before the first international AMD airport departures were carried out. The airport is widely used by the carriers IndiGo and Go Air to operate flights to the large but also small cities in India.

Flight routes

Many flights are domestic to other cities in India. These are provided by Air India, Air Deccan, AirAira, Alliance air, GoAir, IndiGo, SpiceJet, TruJet and Vistara. There are not many international AMD departures. There are flights to both airports with Bangkok, Singapore Airlines to Singapore, Qatar Airways to Doha, Kuwait and Jazeera Airways to Kuwait, Emirates and Flydubai to Dubai and British Airways to London.

Runway and Terminals

The Ahmedabad departures all depart from the only available 11,800 feet runway. There are 3 terminals available. Terminal 1 is for all domestic flights. At the upper level are the check-in counters and the baggage claim area. After checking in, go to lower life for the 3 available boarding gates. Terminal 2 handles everything on the same floor, both arrival and Ahmedabad airport departures. The third terminal is only used when the first 2 terminals are very busy for support. The 12 months before the corona virus prevailed, 11-12 million passengers passed through the airport. That was done with more than 84,000 aircraft landing or taking off.
